The Spot IS THE SPOT for LAOTIAN FOOD! hahaha A quick and chill place to grab some good bites! Here are my recommendations: 1. The KAPOON with vermicelli noodle, red curry broth, chicken, bamboo, mint, green onion, and cilantro was THE ONE! Flavor, flavor, flavor! One sip was a sip of comfort! It was so good! 2. The LAOS SAUSAGES with STICKY RICE is the perfect duo! 3. The BEEF LARB with mint, cilantro, green onions, and rice powder on top of lettuce is refreshing! *SKIP the Egg Rolls! Mines tasted a bit off. *If you ask for red chilis, they will be chopped up. I prefer the whole ones to ensure the heat and freshness. The ones I received lacked heat and freshness. I say request to get the chilis whole. *Unfortunately, I was unable to take pictures because the dishes that I recommended were OUTSTANDING! This says a lot because I usually can take a minute to take one picture but when I went in, there was no turning back LOL

I grabbed dinner here with a few friends. We wanted Lao food and needed something that was open after 7 pm on a Sunday night. The food was overall very good and super affordable. We tried the following: Papaya salad (with two peppers) Beef carpaccio (mild) Angel wings Lao sausage Sticky rice Kapoon My favorite thing was the kapoon. The broth was creamy from the coconut milk, and just sweet enough to not overpower the curry. The sausage was also pretty good, not too dry with a good ratio of fat and lean meat, and the perfect amount of kaffir leaf. The angel wings were a bit on the dry side and the beef carpaccio could have benefited from a better cut of meat, thinner slices, and different presentation, but both dishes had good flavor. The papaya was authentically funky and delicious... but I would do just one hot pepper next time since I'm weak like that lol. Definitely a place to return to.

Everything we ordered was incredible! We shared the Kapoon, Angel Wings, Papaya Salad, Lao Sausages, Vietnamese Beef, and Chicken Larb, family style. The Papaya Salad was a standout--served with vermicelli noodles and shredded cabbage, it was bursting with flavor, perfectly spicy, and incredibly refreshing. I'm still craving it as I write this! The Kapoon soup was excellent, reminiscent of Tom Yum. It's a must-try! The Lao Sausage was so delicious that if we hadn't ordered so much food, we would have definitely gotten more. It had a great flavor with just the right amount of kick. The Chicken Larb was wonderfully refreshing with a zesty lemon flavor. The Vietnamese Beef was the highlight of the meal, with fantastic flavor that paired perfectly with sticky rice. The Angel Wings came with a side of sweet and sour soup, but be sure to ask for their homemade tomato sauce--it's far superior to the bottled version.

Food came out quickly for a late night. The server was really nice and came around often to refill our water. We were starving so each ordered a bowl of soup and two appetizers. I had the meatball soup which basically tasted like pho-- just meatballs and noodles. I got a regular size and that was plenty for me! Hit the spot for late night eats and was so hot! The guys ordered the Ka Soy which they enjoyed. I wish it was bit saltier or spicier. Overall still enjoyable. We ordered the beef larb and that was so tasty! I advise getting larb and the spice builds so beware which level you order! Papaya salad was made the Laos way, and the fermented fish was just too pungent for me. I think it's an acquired taste, but if you like it. DO IT !! (Just not my cup of tea, I like the Thai flavor profile) The place looks like a nice little bar/pub vibes. Great for late night eats, or just getting drinks and good bites of food
